It is Enough

Updated: Dec 4, 2020

Earlier this year, some very impactful words came across my screen when I was reading Mada's quarterly newsletter. She had quoted some lines from Kahlil Gibran's 'The Prophet' and when I read the words, "it is enough that you enter the temple invisible" something happened inside me. It was like a voice was saying PAY ATTENTION! So I read them over and over, and as I did, there was a kind of settling deep inside, and a quiet peace overcame my whole body. The words were really sinking in, and I felt the truth of them for perhaps the first time in my life.

It was a knowing. A knowing that when I drop down into my belly and feel that empty space, that is enough. Go inside, rest in my belly, watch the breath. That is enough. I don't have to 'try' for anything. Just sit. Just breath. Just enter that invisible temple.

I knew this intellectually already, as I have said it in my own words over and over in my yoga and meditation classes in years past, but at that moment a few months ago when I read that phrase again, I truly KNEW them. There is nothing else that I could off the top of my head quote from Gibran's 'The Prophet', but these words "It is enough that you enter the temple invisible" will always be with me.

I have learned from my experiences in the last many years working with Mada Dalian's profound Self-Healing Dalian Method, that to know something only with my mind has no power. In fact, it is a false power of the ego. But to know something from my consciousness is to truly know it on all levels of my being. It is something that is contained in all cells of my body and nothing outside can shake that knowing. It's not about belief or faith, it's just a knowing of the truth.

And the journey within continues...
